• I listen to two podcasts regularly from NPR, Planet Money and All Songs Considered, and somehow confused Stephen Thompson with one of the correspondents on Planet Money.
  
• Heath Ledger did win for Best Supporting Actor in 2008, the middle of a triplet of villains - 2007 was Javier Berdem as Anton Chigur and 2009 was Christoph Waltz as Col. Landa.

• While naturalized citizens take an oath renouncing previous allegiances, this does not have any force of law. Unless you are in one of several very rare situations, the US government will not care about your other citizenships.
• Ruby came out in 2007.

• Graham Chapman, the only Graham in the group, is the only deceased member of Monty Python.
• Greek Easter follows the Gregorian calendar, not the Julian calendar. While the last few years this has put Greek Easter off by a week from Western orthodox Easter, this year it is off by five weeks.

• Mercury is not tidally locked with the Sun.
• HashMap does return values in a deterministic order across different JREs.
• The debussy song is correctly titled 'Claire de Lune', which means moonlight.

• Turkish delight is commonly served coated in chocolate.
• Somehow, 97% of the worlds vanilla beans (not vanillan) comes from Madagascar.
• Deconvolute is totally the word for that. 
• Similarly, I was thinking of hermetic, not hermeneutic (a principle of interpretation, and not even an adjective).
• My keyboard only has 56 keys.

• The first section of the Metro to open was the Red line between North and Rhode Island Ave, not the Yellow Line.
• Although I know it as something that people in AA say, the "definition" of insanity quip was most likely first said by Rita Mae Brown.
• While there are still some German speakers in Romania - I'm guessing mostly in Transylvania - it appears Romanian is the most commonly spoken language in Transylvania by far, with German coming behind Magyar and possibly Vlax Romani in terms of number of speakers.
